Well with his new book coming out this week (The Wheel of Osheim) I decided to just go ahead and make this week, Mark Lawrence week on MightyThorJRS. All week I have been posting about his books so why not him too! Yes he is my favorite author, creator of my favorite books and series (I am sure you all know that by now). So I thought I would do a spotlight on Mark himself (plus I needed another blog post for this week).

Thanks Mark for all the hours of pure enjoyment you have given me over the years!

But seriously all his books are AMAZING, go get them now! I can’t recommend them enough!

Mark Lawrence is married with four children, one of whom is severely disabled. His day job is as a research scientist focused on various rather intractable problems in the field of artificial intelligence. He has held secret level clearance with both US and UK governments. At one point he was qualified to say ‘this isn’t rocket science … oh wait, it actually is’.
Between work and caring for his disabled child, Mark spends his time writing, playing computer games, tending an allotment, brewing beer, and avoiding DIY.
